Kelly Woods Lynch
Kelly Woods Lynch brings over 25 years of strategic copywriting and communications experience to the OPEN MINDS team. Ms. Woods Lynch currently serves as a SME Marketing, leading projects related to topical content development, outreach strategy through execution of accurate deliverables and on-point messaging with a focus on aligning a client’s communication needs with practical outcomes.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Woods Lynch served as the Creative Director/Copywriter/Copy Editor for KWL Communications. In this role, Ms. Woods Lynch developed creative solutions for a variety of clients. Ms. Woods Lynch carved out a niche in reaching and equipping audiences to understand detailed information and/or understand the benefits of taking desired action. She is particularly skilled at putting herself into the minds of the target audience and, as a result, constructing efficient and effective campaigns that drive client messages home.
Prior to serving as the Creative Director/Copywriter/Copy Editor for KWL Communications, Ms. Woods Lynch served as the Vice President/ Strategic and Creative Development and as a Freelance Creative Director for JMH Education. In these roles, Ms. Woods Lynch was responsible for the creation and final delivery of all agency materials, including in-studio approval of print, video, and audio projects, pre-press copy and imagery and on-press print supervision. Woods Lynch also served as an agency consultant for web content strategy, objectives, copy, art direction, and drive-to-site marketing
Previously, Ms. Woods Lynch served as the Promotion Manager for Self Magazine. During her tenure, Ms. Woods Lynch managed all aspects of promotional, image, trade, merchandising and sales events from conception through production and post-event follow-up. She also managed the creative services staff and supervised special sections and customized advertorials in magazine and affiliated trade publications.
Ms. Woods Lynch earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Gettysburg College. She also studied script-writing and creative writing at The New School for Social Research. Woods Lynch is an active member of multiple affiliations and associations including her role as the founding chair of the Communications & Marketing Advisory Council at Gettysburg College.
