Leslie Groves brings to the OPEN MINDS team extensive experience driving strategic growth, innovation, and brand visibility in global, competitive markets as a Senior Associate. Ms. Groves’ experience includes hands-on, forward-thinking, and creative marketing in the fields of healthcare, technology, and start-up ventures.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Groves was Marketing Director for mPulse Mobile, Inc., a leader in mobile health engagement, in Los Angeles, California. While there, Ms. Groves was responsible for corporate branding and awareness, go-to-market strategy, digital presence, and sales enablement. During her tenure, Ms. Groves rebooted marketing efforts and developed messaging that highlighted competitive differentiation. She leveraged clients and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content for webinars and speaking events and developed sales tools that communicated the value proposition supported by the selling process.
Previously Ms. Groves was the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Research for ODH Inc., an Otsuka America Company. During her time at ODH, Inc., Ms. Groves lead the marketing team in the launch of a new technology platform for integrated behavioral and physical population health management solutions. She established the brand through public relations activities, exhibiting, speaking engagements, and digital marketing. Ms. Groves also led sales and marketing positioning and content development through research and competitive analysis to distinguish thought leadership in an emerging space.
Ms. Groves has extensive health plan experience. She has previously served as Marketing Director for United HealthGroup, Optum Division where she directed the lifecycle of marketing program management for a data warehouse and healthcare reporting analytics tool that provided deep health population management insight to employers, health plans, and broker consultants.
Ms. Groves was also Senior Marketing Strategy Consultant for CVS Aetna. In this role, Ms. Groves lead and participated in cross-functional teams within Dental, Financial, Medical, and Voluntary lines to facilitate strategic leadership and marketing counsel including research, pricing, and distribution effectiveness, value proposition development and testing, 3-year planning, marketing plan, and success metric development.
Ms. Groves graduated with a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from The Graduate Institute. Additionally, Ms. Groves has a Master of Science in Research, Evaluation, and Measurement and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Groves has been a Board Member of the Senior Executive Women’s Network since 2019. Since 2018, Ms. Groves has been a member of the Leadership Greater Hartford, Marketing Committee. From 2016 to 2018, Ms. Groves was also the Program Chair for The Graduate Institute Organizational Leadership Alumni Association.
