Rebecca Plonsky, LICSW, brings over 14 years of strategic operations experience to the OPEN MINDS team. Ms. Plonsky currently serves as a senior associate, leading projects related to strategic planning and implementation, operations and staff management, marketing, and business development.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Plonsky served as the National Vice President of Development, Prospect Integrated Behavioral Health for Prospect Alta Hospital Systems, LLC, based in the Northeast Region. Ms. Plonsky’s role was responsible for national growth and development of the Integrated Behavioral Health Service lines. Ms. Plonsky was assigned to lead multiple projects to improve the quality of care. She successfully improved patient health outcomes and added $10 million of savings and revenue to the bottom line.
Before this promotion within Prospect Alta Hospital Systems, LLC, Ms. Plonsky served as the Vice President of Integrated Behavioral Health, Prospect CharterCARE, LLC. In this position, Ms. Plonsky provided leadership and program development expertise across the Integrated Behavioral Health Service lines. Ms. Plonsky also oversaw the opening of Rhode Island’s first Long Term Behavioral Health Unit and CharterCARE’s first Addiction Services Center.
Ms. Plonsky also served as the Senior Behavioral Health Program Manager, for the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health & Human Services, in Cranston, Rhode Island. She was the primary leader for the division and responsible for behavioral health Medicaid strategy, program innovation and implementation, policy and contracting.
Previously, Ms. Plonsky served as the Behavioral Health Program Manager, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island, in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, Ms. Plonsky developed innovative behavioral health programming to improve patient outcomes and address network gaps in care, provided clinical, quality and strategic oversight and analysis for behavioral health programming and was responsible for negotiating behavioral health case rates and program implementation.
Ms. Plonsky earned her Master of Social Work from Boston College in Newton, Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.
