Montana Medicaid Expands Eligibility For Applied Behavioral Therapy
On July 20, 2022, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) expanded Medicaid coverage of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to include youth up to age 21 with autism and to include youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED). ABA will also be covered for youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) who are eligible for the state’s Developmental Disabilities Program.
