Connecticut Medicaid To Implement A Maternity Bundled Care Model In 2023
Starting in the summer of 2023, the Connecticut Medicaid program, called Husky Health, intends to implement a “maternity bundle” to replace its current fee-for-service approach. The new bundle will include additional maternity benefits, such as doula care and breastfeeding support. The goal of this bundled care approach is to improve maternal health outcomes. The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) has allocated an additional $830,000 for the new services in the bundle.
