72.8% Lower Court Defendants In London, UK Had An Identifiable Mental Disorder

Approximately 72.8% of defendants who had been referred to a Court Liaison & Diversion Mental Health Service in London, United Kingdom (UK) had an identifiable mental disorder. The most common mental disorder found in 23.2% of defendants was schizophrenia or other delusional disorder (SDD). This was followed by depression, found in 19.4% of defendants; and anxiety, found in 9.5% of defendants. About 5.5% of the lower court attendees had a neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD).
