Net Worth Poverty Is Linked To Lower Child Cognitive Scores & Increases In Problem & Behavioral Scores In Children

Children raised in families with very low wealth perform poorly on important reading and math tests. This finding from recent research shows that wealth deprivation – or net worth poverty (NWP) – puts children at a disadvantage in addition to traditional measures of poverty which rely solely on income (IP).
