22% Of Adults Ages 18 To 44 Received Mental Health Treatment In 2021
A total of 21.6% of adults in the U.S. received mental health treatment in 2021, a nearly 3% increase from 2019. The percentage of adults who had received any mental health treatment was highest among those aged 18 to 44 (23.2%), followed by adults aged 45 to 64 (21.2%) and those aged 65 years and over (18.9%).
