Florida DCF Awards Child Welfare Lead Agency Contract To Northwest Florida Health Network

On August 13, 2022, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) selected Northwest Florida Health Network (NWFHN) as the next Community-Based Care (CBC) lead agency for foster care services for DCF Northwest Region Circuit 1, which includes Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties. The incumbent, FamiliesFirst Network, had notified DCF that it would not be responding to the invitation to negotiate (ITN) for a new contract period. The service transition is slated to be completed by November 1, 2022.
