22 States File Petition For CMS To Repeal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate For Health Care Workers
On November 17, 2022, the Montana Attorney General joined by attorneys general from 21 other states filed a petition to ask the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to repeal rules requiring health care facilities to ensure that all staff are vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Specifically, the petition asks CMS to repeal its Interim Final Rule (IFR) and State Surveyor Guidance that relate to COVID-19 vaccination.
