Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Reaches 16 Million, 13% More Than 2022

According to the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), approximately 15.9 million individuals enrolled in Health Insurance Marketplace plans or Basic Health Program plans during the 2023 Marketplace Open Enrollment period from November 1, 2022 to January 7, 2023. This is a 13% increase over enrollment numbers from the 2022 Open Enrollment, representing 1.8 million more sign ups. The federal Open Enrollment period ends January 15, 2023.
