Washington DCYF Offers Multi-Licensing For Caregivers & Child Care Provider Organizations

On January 1, 2023, the Washington Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) began offering multi-licensing for child care and foster care provider organizations. as part of its licensing process. Multi-licensing provides a streamlined process that supports individuals to become licensed in both foster care and child care. This allows individuals to simultaneously offer child care in their homes while fostering. The goal of multi-licensing is to increase access to child care for those in foster care and increase placement capacity throughout the state.
