West Virginia Unveils Recruiting & Retention Initiative For Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services & Youth Services

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) launched a recruiting and retention initiative to improve staffing for child and adult protective services and youth services workers. Enhancements featured in the initiative include a 20% increase in the starting salary for these classifications. Employees previously hired in these categories who fall below the new salary classification will immediately be brought up to the new salary classification.
