Denver Department Of Public Safety Opens New Assessment, Intake & Diversion Center As Arrest Alternative
On February 16, 2023, the Denver Department of Public Safety (DOS) opened a new Assessment, Intake, and Diversion (AID) Center for individuals who are in need of social services, even people who have active warrants for low-level, non-violent crimes. Normally, people who are the subject of an active warrant face barriers to accessing services and stable housing. Resources available at the AID Center include housing navigation, case coordination, food and hygiene supplies, mental health support, substance misuse and sober living services, veterans’ services, employment support, and more.
