Access & Safety Are The Basis For New AMA Policies On Addiction Disorder

The American Medical Association (AMA) has adopted new policies on addiction disorder that are intended to improve access to treatment and consumer safety. These policies include:

Increasing access within school settings to naloxone for reversing opioid overdose
Expanding non-punitive access to prenatal care and treatment for substance use disorder
