A pharmacist-led diabetes-control intervention led to better blood glucose control for Hispanic health care consumers with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Of the 931 unique consumers with T2D analyzed, those who had one or more encounters with the program had an average reduction of -0.46% in their hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) concentration, a measure of long-term control of blood glucose levels.
