On August 1, 2024, the Hawaii Medicaid program plans to implement a new 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver. New initiatives in the waiver include continuous eligibility for children, pre-release services for justice-involved individuals, nutrition supports, Native Hawaiian traditional healing practices, and a pilot of contingency management for addiction treatment.
