Ohio Gambling Disorder Prevalence Tripled Between 2017 & 2022

The percentage of adults in Ohio with gambling disorder tripled between 2017 and 2022, rising from 0.9% to 2.8%. At the 2022 prevalence rate, an estimated 254,729 individuals are affected among the Ohio adult population of nearly 9.2 million. Gambling disorder is defined as repetitive gambling behavior despite harm and negative consequences.
