Alameda County Agrees To A Settlement Of ADA Violations Case
Alameda County, California has agreed to a proposed comprehensive settlement agreement to settle an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations case brought by Disability Rights California (DRC) and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). In the agreement, announced on November 7, 2023, the County agreed to enhance mobile crisis response, expand specialty services, enhance discharge planning and community engagement, and add peer respite capacity.
