Arizona Medicaid MLTSS Contracts Go To Arizona Complete Health & UnitedHealthcare Community Plan

On December 1, 2023, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) awarded contracts for the state’s Medicaid managed long term care services and supports (MLTSS) to two health plans, Health Net Access, Inc. (dba Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan) and Arizona Physicians IPA, Inc. (dba UnitedHealthcare Community Plan). The new contracts go into effect on October 1, 2024, and run through September 30, 2027, with options to extend up to an additional four years.
