Michigan Settlement Will Increase Rates For I/DD Self Determination Community Living Support Services
On December 4, 2023, the state of Michigan agreed to increase state spending on Medicaid Community Living Support services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). This settlement ensures that people with I/DD have the right use self-determination/self-directed services and adds additional policy and control mechanisms to protect their rights. If approved, the settlement will increase state spending for these services by more than $110 million. However, the settlement is still waiting for court approval.
