Bloomington Minnesota Launches Police Mental Health Rapid Response & Free Therapy Pilot
In December, 2023, the Bloomington, Minnesota Police Department (BPD) launched the state-funded Rapid Response Mental Health pilot program to provide community members with immediate in-home therapy at no cost. The intent of the Rapid Response Mental Health program is to reduce the cost of police officer response and emergency room visits that commonly occur during a mental health or drug-related crisis.
