Oregon Needs At Least $500 Million Over Five Years To Create Sufficient Behavioral Health Residential Treatment Capacity
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) projects that it would take at least $500 million over five years to set up the nearly 3,000 more adult residential mental health and addiction treatment beds needed to meet the state's current and future demand for treatment. Closing this gap would represent more than a 70% increase above the state's current treatment capacity. The preliminary cost estimate does not include operational costs.
