Nevada Medicaid To Launch Housing & Supportive Services Initiative

Nevada Medicaid is moving forward in partnership with managed care organizations (MCOs) to offer In Lieu of Services to cover members’ housing supports and meal services to address member’s health-related social needs (HRSNs). Nevada Medicaid recently received provisional approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to continue planning efforts with MCOs as CMS finalizes its review process for approving all rates and program changes for this contract year. These new services and supports for HRSNs are similar to those approved by CMS for California’s Medicaid program and would be for MCO members experiencing homelessness . . .
