Lawsuit Alleges Colorado Medicaid Case Management System Discriminatory Against People With Disabilities
A change to the Colorado Medicaid agency’s case management procedures and software has resulted in discriminatory actions against individuals with disabilities receiving long-term services and supports (LTSS), according to a federal complaint filed by Colorado Center on Law and Policy (CCLP) and the National Health Law Program (NHeLP). They allege that the procedure and software changes have resulted in improper coverage terminations, service delays, and confusion among enrollees. These issues are worsening during the Medicaid unwinding and eligibility redeterminations.
