76% Of Consumers Have Used Virtual Care Services At Least Once
A full 76% of surveyed health care consumers said they had used virtual care services at least once. The 24% that still prefer in-person care cited quality concerns and lack of awareness of virtual care services as reasons.
Consumers cited the following reasons for choosing virtual care over in-person care:
Greater convenience: 39%
Shorter wait time: 30%
Specific care provider: 17%
Transportation barriers: 16%
Lower cost: 13%
Uncomfortable with in-person care: 10%
Higher quality: 8%
Inadequate nearby in-person care: 7%
Other: 15%
