21.4 Million People Enrolled In 2024 ACA Plans

A total of 21.4 million consumers selected or were automatically re-enrolled in health insurance coverage offered by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) through HealthCare.gov and State-based Marketplaces (SBM) during 2024’s Open Enrollment Period (OEP), which ran from November 1, 2023, to January 16, 2024. The 2024 enrollment cohort includes 5.2 million new consumers to the marketplace, representing a 41% increase from the 3.7 million new consumers in 2023, and 24.3% of all 2024 enrollees.
