The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is developing performance measures for its intensive mobile treatment (IMT) program for people with serious mental illness (SMI) and has recently expanded the number of teams. The measures are intended to promote improvement and overall quality of care to address gaps noted by the New York City Comptroller in a report released in February 2024. The review was based on IMT enrollment data for 602 participants admitted to the program from its inception in 2016 through March 3, 2023.
