Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network Opens First Of Three Mental Health Crisis Centers

On April 12, 2024, Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) in Michigan opened the first of three planned mental health Crisis Care Centers. The center, called the 707 Crisis Care Center, provides crisis walk-in services, crisis stabilization, and a peer-led program called Building Empowered Supportive Transition (BEST), as well as a 32-bed, 24-hour facility that will permit people in behavioral health crisis to stay for up to 72 hours. The center serves children ages 5 to 17 as well as adults.
