Wake County & Alliance Health Select WakeMed & Recovery Innovations To Operate WakeBrook Behavioral Health Campus

WakeBrook Behavioral Health in Raleigh, North Carolina is reopening with two new provider organizations, WakeMed and Recovery Innovations, delivering inpatient psychiatric and crisis response services. The facility closed in September 2023 after UNC Health ended its decade-long contract to operate the facility. UNC Health had held the contract since 2012. As of May 24, 2024, both new contracts are in the final negotiation stage. The contracts have a one-year initial term, with successive renewal terms unless terminated.
