About 67% of people experiencing homelessness also had a menal health disorder. About 77% had lifetime prevalence of menal health disorders. Men experiencing homeless had a higher lifetime prevalence of mental health disorders at 86% compared to 69% of women experiencing homelessness. Among the general population, the current prevalence of mental health disorders is estimated at 13% to 15%, and lifetime prevalence at 12% to 47%.
