OPEN MINDS Announces Executive Roundtable On Re-Entry Model For Justice-Involved Consumers
Gettysburg, Pa. (June 9, 2024) — On June 13, 2024, at 1 p.m. ET, Craig Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, and Maria S. Panitsidis, Senior Therapist at Huther Doyle, will present their organization’s SHAPE model (structure, hope, accountability, progress, and enlightenment) as an immediate re-entry model of services for justice-involved consumers during the OPEN MINDS Circle Elite Executive Roundtable, Improving Outcomes For Criminal Justice Involved Substance Users—Huther Doyle’s SHAPE Model Case Study.
The SHAPE model offers outpatient treatment and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorder, mental health services for those with co-occurring disorders, and Health Home Care Management support to assist with the coordination of appropriate housing for consumers re-entering and/or requiring re-placement.
“The U.S. has emerged as the world’s leader for incarceration and community supervision,” said OPEN MINDS Chief Executive Officer, Monica E. Oss. “This means that more health and human service organizations need to focus on finding the most effective and efficient correctional reentry strategies and services, no matter the consumer population.”
Executive attendees of this session will learn:
- Trends in the response to crime and criminal justice involved individuals.
- Upgrades that are helpful to improve outcomes.
- Challenges and solutions in implementing a program to address special needs.
