Feds Approve Nebraska’s Plan For Parity Financial Assistance To Relative & Kinship Caregivers
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is implementing a new policy that provides relative and kinship caregivers with the same level of Title IV-E financial assistance as non-relative/kinship caregivers. On April 17, 2024, the federal Administration for Children and Families (ACF) approved the state’s plan to establish a separate placement approval process for relative and kinship caregivers.
