ADHD Prevalence Among American Youth At 11% In 2022, 30% Were Untreated
About 11% of American youth ages 3 to 17 were diagnosed with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in 2022, according to parent responses to the 2022 National Survey of Children’s Health. About half of children with current ADHD were treated with medication (53.6%). About 44.4% received behavioral treatment. The remaining 30.1% received no ADHD-specific treatment.
