Northwell Health Settles With New York Attorney General, Agrees To Improve Access To Charity Care

Northwell Health agreed to improve and expand its financial assistance program for uninsured and underinsured New York residents receiving necessary medical care. People earning up to five times the federal poverty level (FPL: $75,300 for an individual or $156,000 for a family of four) will be eligible for free or discounted care. People earning between 300% and 500% FPL will receive discounted medical services based on Medicaid or Medicare rates. Northwell Health and the New York Attorney General signed the agreement on June 4, 2024.
