Oregon To Launch Basic Health Program For People With Income At 138% To 200% FPL
On June 7, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Oregon’s Basic Health Program (BHP) Blueprint. The BHP, called “Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Bridge,” is intended for people under age 65 earning 138% to 200% of the federal poverty level (FPL). The state anticipates that more than 100,000 state residents will qualify for the BHP, including over 30,000 who would not otherwise have accessible coverage. The state will start OHP Bridge applications on July 1, 2024.
