Sonoma County, California is implementing the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) child abuse prevention program as a population-based child abuse prevention intervention. This program evaluation brief for First 5 Sonoma County reports the county’s results attributable to Triple P between June 2010 and June 2012. By implementing Triple P, the county seeks to decrease substantiated reports of child maltreatment, decrease out-of-home placements, and decrease the number of children visiting emergency rooms for injuries related to suspected maltreatment.
