Idaho To Create Foster Parent Bill Of Rights

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) is developing a foster parent bill of rights and implementing new policies strengthening the child welfare system to comply with an executive order issued on June 7, 2024, by Governor Brad Little. Staff training on the Foster Parent Bill of Rights will be completed by August 1, 2024. It informs foster parents and DHW staff about the rights foster parents have while caring for children in custody of DHW.
