Hearing Aids May Reduce The Rate Of Cognitive Decline For Older Adults
Among older adults at risk for cognitive decline, use of a hearing aid for three years reduced their cognitive decline by 48%, according to a recent study. The study found that, overall, hearing intervention might reduce cognitive change over three years in populations of older adults at increased risk for cognitive decline. This decrease did not apply to populations at decreased risk for cognitive decline.
