CMS Launches New Medicare GUIDE Dementia Care Model

On July 1, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) launched the new Medicare Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) Model for an eight-year demonstration. CMS selected 390 organizations to participate in the model’s alternative payment methodology (APM) to deliver a package of care management and coordination, caregiver education and support, and GUIDE Respite Services to aligned Medicare part B beneficiaries with dementia.
