30% Of Medicare Beneficiaries Unable To Participate Virtual Diabetes Prevention Program
About 30% of Medicare beneficiaries aged 65 and older at-risk for type 2 diabetes are unable to participate in the virtual Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) because they lack a computer and/or internet connection. Of those without access, half (14.9%) had no computer and did not use the internet. The other half (14.3%) either had a computer, but didn’t use the internet; or they used the internet, but did not have a computer that could access the MDPP.
