Three Years Before Diagnosis, Young Adults With First Episode Psychosis Had Higher Rates Of Mental Health Service Use
In the three years prior being diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, individuals with a first diagnosis of psychosis (FEP) had higher rates of mental health service use, particularly emergency department visits and hospitalizations, compared with individuals with a first diagnosis of a mood disorder.
