During First Year, Medicare Kidney Care Choices Model Increased Home Dialysis Rates
During its first performance year, the Medicare Kidney Care Choices (KCC) model was linked to higher rates of home dialysis, increases in home dialysis training, and optimal starts to dialysis. There were no significant changes in transplant rates or Medicare Part A and Part B spending. About 30% of eligible Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries are aligned to KCC.
