The healthiest states for adults age 65 and older are Utah, Colorado, Vermont, New Hampshire & Minnesota based on an evaluation of 35 measures across five categories of health: Social and Economic Factors, Physical Environment, Behaviors, Clinical Care, and Health Outcomes. Utah was the highest-ranked state based on data from 2022. The least healthy states were Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.
