Rates Of Liver Transplant Lowest In States With The Highest Rates Of Death Related To Liver Damage
States with the highest rates of deaths due to liver damage had the lowest rates of liver transplants in 2021. In states with the highest liver-related mortality (LRM), the transplant rate for organs from in-state residents was 13.0%. In states with the lowest LRM, the transplant rate was 32.5%.
