New Jersey Awards $12.8 Million Contract To YAI For I/DD Crisis Services
On October 22, 2024, the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) awarded a four-year contract, valued at $3.2 million per year, to Young Adult Institute (YAI) to create a new community-based crisis prevention and intervention services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs (I/DD-MH). The new services will follow the Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment (START) Model, and are projected to begin in the spring of 2025.
