Oregon Medicaid Launches Housing Benefits For Individuals Facing Medical Crises
On November 1, 2024, the Oregon Health Plan began offering housing assistance for Medicaid beneficiaries at risk of losing their housing due to a chronic health condition or a serious but temporary medical event, such as a hospitalization affecting housing stability. The benefits are not intended for low-income individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness or to respond to emergency shelter needs.
