Oklahoma Medicaid To Offer Community Health Services

Oklahoma Medicaid (SoonerCare) plans to offer Community Health Services. To implement the offerings, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA), which oversees SoonerCare, plans to submit a Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) for federal approval. The program is currently planned for state fiscal years (SFYs) 2025 and 2026, to start on January 1, 2025. OHCA issued a notice of intent to file the SPA on November 5, 2024. The public comment window was scheduled for November 5 to 19, 2024.

The new benefit will be for members with a chronic health diagnosis (or pregnancy) who have unmet health-related social needs . . .
