New York Selects Public Partnerships As Single Statewide Fiscal Intermediary For Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program Services
On September 30, 2024, The New York Department of Health (DOH) selected Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) as the state’s single statewide fiscal intermediary for the Medicaid Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). Previously, the DOH contracted with nearly 700 provider organizations that served as fiscal intermediaries to administer self-directed personal assistance services for about 250,000 beneficiaries. In the state’s 2024-2025 budget, DOH outlined plans to overhaul the CDPAP to centralize the fiscal intermediary function. Total annual state spending during 2023 for consumer-directed personal assistance services was about $4.5 billion. ;
