14% Of Older Adults Meet Federal Physical Activity Guidelines
About 13.9% of adults age 65 and older meet the federal physical activity guidelines for aerobic exercise and muscle-strengthening. Those without disabilities were three times more likely to meet the guidelines, than those with disabilities, at 15.9% compared to 5.0%. Those without depression or anxiety symptoms were more likely to meet the guidelines than those with mild, moderate, or severe symptoms of depression or anxiety.
